The Port of Amsterdam is a leading energy port. Recognised as the world’s largest gasoline port, it has an unrivalled infrastructure as a fuel hub. While the company running the port, known simply as Port of Amsterdam, saw the share of fossil fuels in shipping cargo decrease considerably during the pandemic, a slight increase is expected in the short term. But the overall share of fossil fuels is forecast to fall in the long term.
