UK bulk liquid firm UM Terminals has appointed Vic Brodrick as its interim managing director (MD).
Brodrick is taking over from Bryan Davies, who is leaving UM for a new position with Associated British Ports. Brodrick will combine the MD duties with his existing role as commercial director.
‘I am delighted to have been asked to combine the roles of MD and commercial director at UM Terminals,’ says Brodrick. ‘I will be looking to continue to execute the strategic growth plan that we launched in September 2020 maximising our UK capability, harnessing the assets of the wider UM Group, and looking for potential acquisition targets.’
UM Terminals has eight terminals across the UK handing more than 40 products, including vegetable oils, industrial, food and feed, chemical, fertiliser, fuels, biofuels and base oils, with a total capacity of 300,000 m3. It plans to expand to 400,000 m3. The company currently has three tanks available at Gladstone Dock of 13,200 m3, and two at Regent Road of 10,750 m3. One of Brodrick’s first tasks will be to identify customers for those tanks.
