Celanese (Nanjing) Chemical Co. has extended its terminal service contract with Nanjing Dragon Crown Liquid Chemical Terminal for the Nanjing Integrated Chemical Complex in Jangsu Province, China, by ten years.
Celanese (Nanjing), a subsidiary of global speciality chemicals company Celanese, says that extending the contact will provide its manufacturing facility with ongoing and reliable terminal services for its acetyls products. Celanese is one of the world’s leading producers of acetic acid and acetyl intermediates, which are used in paints and coatings, adhesives, plastics, food packaging and construction materials.
The Nanjing Dragon Crown Terminal has 32 tanks ranging in size from 2,000–20,000 m3, with a total storage capacity of 210,000 m3. It has three jetties on the YangTze River and tank truck loading bays.
‘Dragon Crown has consistently provided Celanese with safe, compliant and reliable terminal services in China for more than a decade,’ says John Fotheringham, Celanese senior vice president, acetyls. ‘The renewal of this contract is a representation of the collaboration between the two parties and further strengthens our long-term business relationship.’
Financial details of the contract have not been disclosed.
