Dutch independent terminal company Vopak says that Richard Hookway will be proposed as a new appointee on its supervisory board at its AGM on 21 April 2021.
If approved, Hookway will replace Reinier Zwitserloot on the board, who has served his maximum term.
Hookway has served in executive roles in global energy businesses including Centrica and BP. At BP he was responsible for transforming its IT services and beginning digitalisation. Vopak says that he has a deep understanding of strategy, financial and risk management and IT/digital, as well as business development and industrial transformation.
‘The appointment will further support the Supervisory Board and bring in additional energy markets and digital expertise. His leadership skills and multicultural expertise are valuable personal assets supporting the nomination,’ Vopak adds in a statement.
The formal notice of the AGM will shortly be made available on the Vopak website.
