US bulk liquids transport Andrews Logistics has bought a new terminal in Neville Island, Pennsylvania, US.
The facility covers 7.5 acres (3 ha) and will replace the company’s current terminal in Aliquippa, also in Pennsylvania. It provides easy access to the Western Pennsylvania highway network. Senior project manager Madison Eschle says that upgrading the terminal’s location and facilities is a strategic move to expand the company’s presence in the Northeast beyond the Pittsburgh market where it currently operates.
Andrews Logistics CEO J. Darron Eschle, said that the company will demolish six of the older buildings on the site and a 70-year old animal-rendering plant, as well as renovating three other buildings to create maintenance, office and driver facilities. The company will also remodel the existing main office building to provide ‘a more productive environment’ for staff.
“The new facility is in a much better location for us and our drivers alike because it’s within minutes of some of our largest customers’ shipping points, and offers more convenient highway access for our drivers,’ says Darron Eschle.
