HMT, a Texas, US-based aboveground storage tank company, has bought Dunham Engineering, a structural and corrosion engineering firm that specialises in tanks and towers.
The acquisition of Dunham Engineering will allow HMT to provide its customers with a full-service tank solution. HMT says Dunham’s expertise will allow it to better optimise tank operations and customise its offerings to customers, as well serving customers in new markets that it previously could not. HMT aims to provide a full-service tank solution, and it says that acquiring Dunham as added capabilities in, amongst other things, value-added engineering, spill prevention, control and countermeasures, similar service assessments, hydrostatic testing evaluations, finite element analysis, and engineering, inspection, and design for new and existing tanks and terminals.

Dunham Engineering began life as a water tank consulting firm in 1992 but now provides a range of structural, storage tank and engineering services in Texas, Oklahoma and the surrounding states. With the acquisition by HMT, it will now be able to operate nationwide.
