Petrolina’s new fuel storage facility in the Vassiliko hub in Cyprus will be ready by the end of the year.
During the company’s AGM, executive chairman Costakis Lefkaritis said that construction works on the second phase, which comprises 18 tanks with 113,000 m3 of capacity, are entering their final phase and should be completed by the end of July. Final testing is expected in November and December
The liquid petroleum gas terminal is being built through a consortium of companies.
Petrolina is relocating its oil and gas storage operations to Vasiliko and will be dismantling its existing facilities along Larnaca’s shoreline as well as cleaning the land.
Lefkaritis says: ‘Our goal is for the company-owned land plots hosting our company’s terminals in Larnaca to be included in new town-planning zones so they can be developed accordingly.’
