CLH and oil operators will invest more than €6 million in a new road tanker loading system for its oil product loading operations.
The Spanish terminal operator is investing in the purging control and compartment identification system, which automatically verifies that the tanks of the trucks are completely empty before filling, the fuel is loaded into the correct compartment and that the quantity does not exceed its capacity.
Road tankers need to have a small identification device mounted in each compartment of their tanks. These devices can also record the information generated in the loading process so that it can be transferred to external systems for data management.
The operator plans to install the new system in the loading areas of all its facilities within a period of two years. It will also establish transition periods at each plant for oil operators to adapt their trucks progressively.
