Gulf Petrochem’s petroleum products terminal in Hamriyah, Sharjah has been officially inaugurated.
The new terminal will have a total capacity of 203,888 m3 spread across 37 tanks ranging in size from 1,700 m3 to 11,200 m3. The terminal will be able to accommodate all classes of petroleum products such as fuel oil, gas oil, base oil, bitumen and naphtha.
The GP Hamriyah Terminal, located within the Hamriyah Free Zone has the flexibility to connect to other key terminals in the vicinity and is also connected to both inner and outer harbours of the Hamriyah Port.
The terminal was inaugurated by Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, director of Hamriyah Free Zone Authority.
Gulf Petrochem Group board member BM Bansal says: ‘Our storage terminal business has become an integral and significant business unit for the group. Complimented by our existing storage facilities in Fujairah, UAE and Pipavav, India our new terminal in Hamriyah will continue to enable us to service our customers within strategically located storage and trading hubs globally.’
