Pengerang Independent Terminals (PITSB) has received its first VLCC for clean petroleum products.
The MT Yuan Qui Hu, a 33-metre long VLCC weighing 308,580 safely berthed at the facility on October 15.
More than 100 vessels of various sizes have berthed at the terminal, which offers storage for both clean petroleum products and crude oil for trading and system distribution purposes.
PITSB CEO Lay Say Huat says: ‘Since our commencement of operation, VLCCs usually call at our terminal for crude operations.
‘This special milestone is a breakthrough in innovation for the terminal and customers in terms of clean petroleum product vessel optimisation.
