An exploded tank at an oil storage facility in Tajikistan has killed four people and injured several others.
The explosion at the facility just outside the capital, Dushanbe, happened on Tuesday (October 13) evening. The country’s interior ministry said that the explosion happened due to a failure to observe safety protocols during welding work.
Several people were hospitalised but not further update has been provided on their condition. According to media reports, the facility is used by the local branch of Russia’s GazpromNeft, part of Russian gas producer Gazprom, to store fuel.
