Following reports that fuel oil stocks in Singapore are at a record high, Tank Storage Asia will be a key event to discuss and debate the implications this has for the storage industry.
The show, which returns to Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands on September 29 and 30, has experienced a 75% increase on last year with more than 60 exhibitors signing up for the show.
The two-day conference programme will cover all the key trends impacting the industry including the shale oil revolution and changes to trade flows, the impact of falling oil prices, the changing economic landscape in Asia as well as updates on storage developments in Greater Singapore and Malaysia.
Speakers include Oiltanking Asia’s VP Sjoerd Boer, Jurong Consultants’ VP Tan Wooi Leong, Alxakri Ekhwan from Petronas and Yaw Yan Chong of Thompson Reuters, Singapore.
Nick Powell, StocExpo and Tank Storage portfolio event manager, says in an interview with Tank Storage Magazine: ‘With reports that Singapore is experiencing a record high of fuel oil stocks, storage is a must-have asset in this crucial international trading hub.
‘Our show brings together the key players to debate, discuss and generate new ideas on these key market trends and share best practice in the fundamental principles of running an effective, efficient and above all safe storage terminal.
‘This is set against a backdrop of true innovation in the industry, and we are excited to see all the new products and services that our exhibitors will be bringing to this constantly evolving market.’
The show also boasts a dedicated Singapore Pavilion, organised by the Singapore Manufacturing Federation, which entitles Singapore-based companies to receive a 50% subsidy when exhibiting at industry leading events.
