ATS Terminal has doubled its storage capacity following a planned expansion of the facility.
The facility, based within Hamriyah Free Zone, has increased its capacity from 22,000 m3 to 42,000 m3, according to Emirates News Agency WAM.
The terminal has six piggable pipelines from its deep harbour and inner harbour respectively, is equipped to handle, store and distribute various kinds of Class 1, 2 and 3 products according to Avinash Gandhi, MD of ATS Terminal.
WAM reports that the facility plans to triple its capacity with two additional expansion phases planned for 2016 and 2017 and is currently only using 30% of land available.
Director of Hamriyah Free Zone Authority and Sharjah Airport International Free Zone Saud Salim Al Mazrouei says: ‘We are happy to see the growth of ATS Terminal, which has been operational since 2012.’
