The VTTV terminal, one of the most significant industrial projects built in Cyprus, has been officially inaugurated.
The terminal, which opened and received its first cargo in November 2014, comprises 28 tanks with a total capacity of 544,000 m3 and is one of the most significant industrial projects ever to be built in Cyprus. It is the first of its kind to connect Europe and the Black Sea with markets in the Middle East and Asia.
General manager George Papanastasiou and VTTI CEO Rob Nijst welcomed the president of the Republic, Nicos Anastasiades, who conducted the inauguration ceremony.
A phase 2 expansion is currently under evaluation, which would add 13 tanks and a further capacity of 305,000 m3.
The company says it is continuing to evaluate other investments as it continues to grow the energy hub.
