Odfjell’s board of directors has appointed Kirstian Mørch as the company’s new CEO and president to take the helm in November 2015.
He will succeed CEO and president Tore Jakobsen, who was appointed to the role for an interim period in December 2014 following the departure of Jan A. Hammer following his ‘different views on the strategic direction for the company’.
Mørch is currently co-CEO of Clipper Group and was previously the COO of Maersk Tankers in addition to holding other management positions in A.P. Moller-Maesk.
He holds an MBA from IMD (Switzerland) and is an AMP graduate from Harvard Business School.
He has been a member of the board of Odfjell since May 2014.
