An oil storage tank located outside Cheyenne, Wyoming, exploded last week, killing one worker.
Elmer Loman, 52, has been named by authorities as the victim. It is thought that the explosion occurred while Loman was welding on a catwalk of a bulk storage tank.
A preliminary investigation suggests the welding was the source of the blast. It is understood that a full inquiry by the Wyoming Occupational Safety and Health Administration is underway.
The incident took place west of Cheyenne at a Tri State Oil Reclaimers facility.
