Urs Beckmann is the new COO of Duisburg-based TanQuid as of 1 November 2014. As a member of the management board, he will be responsible for tank farms, operations and technology. Beckmann succeeds Ansgar Maurer, who will retain a consultancy role with the company.
‘Ansgar Maurer’s work has laid the foundation for our company’s success to date,’ says TanQuid CEO Jens Moir. ‘We are grateful for his significant contribution to TanQuid’s stable organisation. Urs Beckmann, who is joining our management board, is an experienced and capable manager with an impressive record of success in his career to date. He is the right man to shape and drive the further development of our operative areas at the highest level.’
Beckmann, who has a degree in industrial engineering, has already worked in an advisory capacity for TanQuid before his appointment as the company’s COO. He was previously in demand as a consultant and interim manager for well-known national and international companies and worked as VP of manufacturing for GEA Heat Exchangers, were he gained a reputation as a reliable and competent project and line executive.
‘His industrial know how and practical experience in maximising earnings and professionalising business operations makes Urs Beckmann a perfect fit for our management board,’ says Moir. ‘He is a proven team player with an integrative management style who has the important necessary qualifications for developing TanQuid further.’
