Noble Group, the company behind the development of Botlek Tank Terminal (BTT) in Rotterdam, has reported a record supply and revenue for the first half of this year.
The company’s income from supply chains increased by 40% in the first six months of 2011 to $947 million (€668 million) and profit also rose 71% to $343 million, when compared to the same period last year.
Noble is currently completing the first phase of the BTT development, which will feature 200,000m³ of storage, and is scheduled for completion at the end of this year.
The company says the sale of its fleet management business in the first quarter of this year reflected positively in its profit.
Ricardo Leiman, CEO of Noble Group, says: ‘We have record access to committed liquidity and cash if the macro environment were to deteriorate, while we focus on further nurturing the cluster of businesses that we are developing.’
