The US Development Group, a rail and terminal facility developing company based in Houston, says it has nearly finished the construction of its Eagle Ford Crude Terminal (EFCT), where operations are scheduled to begin in July.
The facility will handle crude oil and other petrochemicals produced at Eagle Ford Shale and is anticipated to feature pipeline, truck receiving sections, tank storage and rail loading and outbound shipping services.
The development is situated about 80 miles south of San Antonio, US, and the company has also bought neighbouring land in LaSalle County near Gardendale, Texas, developing the 500 acre site for the EFCT pipeline companies, producers and marketers.
The EFCT will have handling capabilities of 40,000 barrels a day at 10 truck loading positions. It will then export products to the company’s crude terminal in St James, Louisiana, as well as to other refining and chemical companies.
