Three men have been killed and four injured after a series of explosions at a crude oil storage cavern project in Chandrahas Nagar in Mangalore Special Economic Zone Limited (MSEZL) in India.
The injured were taken to private hospitals in Mangalore and are all reported to be in a serious condition after the accident last night.
So far the company has only said that ‘something went wrong’ when they were using explosives on the site, which then led to the disaster.
The underground cavern project is currently under development and only 35% of the third stage has been finished.
Local police are investigating the incident.
