An oil tanker has successfully loaded at the new Russian terminal Rosneftbunker in Ust-Luga in the Lenigradskiy Region.
The Aframax oil tanker owned by SCF Group, called Primorsky Prospect, is 114,100 tonnes dwt and 250m long, 44m in breadth and 15m draft.
About 93,000 tonnes of fuel oil was loaded on board the tanker and from the port which is situated in the Baltic region.
The Rosneftbunker terminal opened at the end of January 2011 although this was the first tanker to load at the site.
The terminal’s full capacity is about 30 million tonnes a year and, by the end of 2011, the export of oil products from the site is expected to hit 10 – 11 million tonnes.
The Russian shipping fleet features 154 vessels and its ship building programme is currently building a further 15.
