Flint Hill Resources, a refining and chemicals company, has formed an agreement with Anadarko Petroleum and Harvest Pipeline to import more quantities of Eagle Ford crude oil to the Corpus Christi region in the US.
Flint Hills has recently purchased a small craft pier and wharf situated next to its crude oil terminal in Ingleside, US, which is already importing Eagle Ford oil.
Flint Hills Resources says it expects to begin outbound waterborne shipments of Eagle Ford production from the retrofitted assets by the middle of 2012.
‘We continue to have discussions with other producers on their needs for the earliest option to move Eagle Ford production to Corpus Christi and beyond,’ says Steve Jacobs, president of Harvest Pipeline. This new 12-inch diameter pipeline provides expanded capacity and reach to our existing Arrowhead pipeline system for producers in the Eagle Ford area, specifically in LaSalle County.’
‘It will have an initial capacity of more than 50,000 barrels per day and ultimate capacity of 90,000 barrels per day. We continue to expand our system to meet the needs of producers and purchasers in the Eagle Ford,’ Jacobs continues.
