Sinochem-Gree Oil Terminal is nearly completed, featuring a 410,000m³ tank farm in Gaolan port in Zhuhai City in Guangdong Province in China.
A completion ceremony is to be held on 4 March and then operation will begin on the site, which is at the second phase of completion for Sinochem-Gree’s oil storage project.
Once finished, the storage facility will hold 220,000m³ of fuel oil tanks and 190,000m³ of oil product tanks.
The first test-run to the facility happened on 14 January, when a 64,000 metric tonne arrived at the site from Singapore. With the new terminal, the company will now have a total of 350,000m³ storage for fuel oil, 270,000m³ for oil products and 80,000m³ for chemicals.
The companies that invested into the terminal include Sinochem Corp and Zhuhai Gree Group Corp. The former is the controlling shareholder and operater and owns two 80,000dwt, one 10,000dwt and three 5,000dwt jetties on the site.
