US-based Westway Groups subsidiary Westway Terminal Company is expanding capacity at two terminal sites in Houston, Texas.
Construction is scheduled to begin on four tanks totalling approximately 4.2 million gallons of capacity in aggregate in December 2010 at its Houston 1 terminal, with completion expected in the latter half of 2011. After completion this facility will have a total capacity of approximately 62 million gallons.
Construction is also scheduled to begin on Phase 5 of its Houston 2 facility in December 2010 consisting of four new tanks totalling approximately 2.5 million gallons of capacity in the aggregate. It anticipates completion in the latter half of 2011. After completion this facility will have a total capacity of approximately 37 million gallons.
