In Spain La Compañía Logística de Hidrocarburos (CLH – Hydrocarbon Logistics Company) has spent more than 30 million in building a new petroleum products storage facility in the municipality of Arahal (Sevilla).
This new facility has six storage tanks for petrol, diesel and aviation kerosene and related auxiliary facilities, as well as connections to the Rota-Zaragoza pipeline and Huelva-Arahal.
This storage facility has a total capacity of over 184,000m3 and combines a high degree of automation of its business processes with maximum guarantees of security and respect for the environment. This capability is intended primarily for the storage of strategic reserves of fuel in the country.
This facility complements the existing Arahal infrastructure, a major logistics hub at the confluence of the Rota-Zaragoza pipeline and Huelva-Arahal.
The Hydrocarbon Logistics Company has a pipeline network of over 4,000km long, and 37 storage facilities with a total capacity of 7.2 million m3, and 29 airport facilities.
The CLH Group in Andalusia has eight other storage facilities located in Cordoba, Seville, Huelva, Rota, Algeciras, San Roque, Malaga and Motril.
The pipeline network in Andalusia is connected to the two refineries operating in this community and one of its main branches is part of the Rota-Zaragoza pipeline diagonally across the peninsula and guarantees the supply of oil in the centre of the country.
