In Russias Leningrad region an oil products terminal operated by RosNeftBunker will be launched in Ust-Luga port in May 2010.
The first phase of the construction work will be completed in March and the start-up phase and then oil products will be delivered to the terminal in April. The first vessel to be loaded at the terminal will be a Sovcomflot tanker.
The Ust-Luga Ports liquid bulk cargo facility is intended for export shipment of crude oil and bunker fuel. As the berths there are 16m deep vessels of 120,000 displacement tonnes can approach the terminal.
The terminals maximum throughput has been projected at 30 million tonnes of heavy fuel oil and light oil products a year. The total investment in the terminal project is reportedly at 26 billion rubles (647 million), backed by VneshEkonomBanks credit.
