Turkey-based storage terminal operator Solentas has completed the construction of six new internal floating roof tanks with a total storage capacity of 16,500m3.
The tanks, which are directly connected to the Solventas Automation System, have been operational since February.
Eight more floating roof tanks, with a total storage capacity of 22,000m3, are currently under construction and expected to be completed and operational by April 2010.
All new storage capacity will be available for the bulk liquid storage of chemicals and petroleum products.
Following the completion of the new tanks the total storage capacity of the Solventas Terminal will be increased to about 280,000m3 with 196 tanks.
Plans and permissions are also ready for another expansion of about 80,000m3 and the construction for this new site is also expected to begin soon.
