The oil and petrochemical storage and logistics hub of Rotterdam is set to expand further.
Botlek Tank Terminal (BTT) will invest 150 million in a scheme to build a 500,000 m3 tank terminal on the old Maas Silo site in Rotterdam.
Construction on the 53 tanks is set to commence in Q1 totalling 285,000 m3. A later second phase of work will see part of the port basin to be filled in. The new terminal will store petrol, diesel and kerosene.
BTTs current terminal stores, transships and processes grains and derivatives, and stores edible and industrial oils.
It has a 420 metre deep water unloading pier with 13.6 metres draft. BTT is a joint venture between HES Beheer and Nobel Groups Noble Netherlands unit.
