Independent energy trading company Mercuria Energy acquired the Nafta (B) terminal at the Port of Antwerp, Belgium, and renamed it Vesta Terminal Antwerp on 14 December.
Vesta Terminal Antwerp has the capacity to store 830,000 m3 of petroleum products and biofuels.
The terminal is equipped to load and unload a major seagoing vessel and three barges simultaneously. The terminal offers tailor made services such as blending or dyeing of products to specific requirements.
Antwerp Port deals with 190 million carriages a year, making it the second largest port in Europe.
Mercuria Energy is an international group of companies active over a wide spectrum of global energy markets including crude oil and refined products, natural gas, power, biodiesel, vegetable oils, coal and carbon emissions.
The company also owns terminals in the Netherlands, Estonia and China. It owns or leases over 30 million barrels of storage facilities around the world.
