Energy major BPs West Coast Products will sell fuel terminal depots to Canadian convenience store operator Alimentation Couche-Tard.
The deal is expected to close in Q1 2010. The terminal facilities include 16 above-ground storage tanks with a capacity of 220,000 barrels, permitted for 44,000 barrels per day in Phoenix, Arizona.
The terminals have access to petrol and other fuel products from the West Texas-Gulf Coast and West Coast refineries.
Strategically, this acquisition will add efficiencies in our fuel supply chain servicing our retail network in the Greater Maricopa County Area, Arizona, Geoffrey Haxel, VP of operations for Couche-Tard's Arizona division, comments.
Alimentation Couche-Tard has 4,128 stores including motor fuel dispensing.
