UK-based investment holding company Lenstar Investments is studying a plan to build a petroleum refinery and petrochemical complex in Malaysia worth up to $8 billion (5.67 billion).
Lenstar will begin feasibility studies for the project in the northern state of Perak and Malacca in the southwest, the company's MD Mohammad Munir Malik says.
Lenstar had earlier began building an $800 million oil storage terminal and marine facility in Malaysia's northern state of Kedah.
