The Petersburg Oil Terminal (POT) in Russia has reported a 2.8% year-on-year increase in Q1 throughput, with even higher figures for April.
POT handled 3.7 million tonnes of oil products in Q1, including 2.6 million tonnes of dark oil products (typically heavy fuel oil).
April throughout rose 12% year-on-year to 1.011 million tonnes of oil products, with transhipment of dark oil products rising 14.2% to 722,000 tonnes.
POT is the biggest oil terminal in St. Petersburg. Apart from transhipment and storage of oil products for export, the terminal is also a loading point for bunkering vessels in the port.
