UK construction company Zakhem International Construction has bid on the final stage of the expansion and modernisation of the Petroleum Storage Terminal (PST) at the Liberia Petroleum Refinery Company (LPRC).
Zakhem, which constructs oil and gas pipelines and provides tankage works, bid US$24,700,809 (19.3 million).
It is currently working on the complete refurbishment of 22 crude oil floating & fixed roof storage tanks for Shells Bonny Island Terminal in Nigeria.
The tanks range in diameter from 33.5m to 76.3m with capacities ranging from 10,000m3 to 105,000 m3.
The Initial contract was $65 million and additional works have been added bringing the present total contract value to $89 million. The project is due for completion this year.
