Oiltanking subsidiary Oiltanking Deutschland has completed construction of four new storage tanks in Honau, Germany.
The new tanks will increase capacity at the terminal from 115,000 to 128,000m3 and store jet fuel.
The Honau terminal supplies southwestern Germany and northeastern France.
It also serves as an ideal location for distribution in the Lake Constance area, particularly since the region lacks terminal infrastructure.
The terminal is located on the canalised part of the Rhine between Strasbourg and Freiburg, avoiding problems of low water levels.
Honau is connected to the Central European Pipeline System CEPS via terminal and/or refinery entry points in the Mediterranean sea (France) and Benelux.
The terminal also handles gasoil in tanks ranging from 5,000 to 20,000m3.
