Oiltanking Odfjell Terminals (OOTO) has started operations at its new tank terminal in Sohar, Oman.
The first 322,000 m³ of tank capacity is dedicated to the storage and handling of petroleum products and chemicals.
The Oman terminal will commission an extra 216,500 m³ by the end of the year and another 304,000 m³ in the first half of next year taking total capacity to 842,500 m³.
The terminal will dedicate part of the capacity to the storage and handling of feedstock and produced product for a world-scale aromatics plant located in the same port.
OOT offers a terminal facility for the storage and handling of petroleum products, chemicals and gases. The terminal is located to support trade and cargo flows within the Middle East region as well as flows from the Gulf to other continents and regions.
Multiple deep water berths combined with a flexible system and high pump capacity assure a quick and efficient vessel turn around.
