The port of Luka Koper in Slovenia has received permission from the Slovenian Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning to construct an oil products terminal at a cost of 20 million.
The terminal is designed to accommodate an expected increase in throughput. The permit covers the construction of six 20,000 m3 tanks with steel security tank pits, truck and wagon loading stations with an access road and railway track, a jetty, firefighting infrastructure and civil works.
During the first phase, three tanks will be scheduled for completion in the first half of 2008 and the remaining three by 2010.
