Chevron eyes Philippines terminal expansion

Chevron Philippines is looking to ramp up terminal projects in San Pascual, Batangas. The announcement follows the renewal of its 25-year lease agreement with the National Development Co. (NDC). Chevron is considering either to expand existing capacity; develop the area to become a regional hub for crude; or put up a 300-megawatt (MW) natural gas-fired power plant. Chevron owns ChevronTexaco Malampaya which was formed for the company’s investment in the Malampaya gas-to-power project developed by the Philippine National Oil, Shell and ChevronTexaco.
