Following another sell-out event in 2018, the Global Tank Storage Awards will return March 26th 2019 in Rotterdam.
Now in its third year, the Global Tank Storage Awards are designed to highlight those that excel in a range of different categories relating to terminal achievements, equipment innovations, ports and individual success.
Hosted by market leading publication, Tank Storage Magazine, the 2018 gala dinner & ceremony attracted more than 200 terminal professionals from as far as Saudi Arabia, India, Malaysia, South Africa, the US and all across Europe.
The event, which is now a fixture in the global storage calendar, saw a huge increase in the number of nominations submitted from the previous year, up to more than 80 submissions across the 12 categories.
'The evening was a real success, with great food, drinks and entertainment, making the perfect setting to host our clients and network with the other companies represented there,' says Darren Hughes, international business development manager, Concrete Canvas, sponsor of the 2018 Most Innovative Technology award.
The 2019 edition promises to be bigger and better with more nominations, an all-inclusive drinks reception, a three-course dinner, captivating entertainment, a casino and much more.
The event allows an exclusive opportunity to entertain clients & reward colleagues for their hard work throughout the year.
'The Global Tank Storage Awards ceremony is always exciting. This year we were really proud to win the Best Port Award, which has given us a significant amount of international recognition and media attention,' says Sandra De Mey, commercial manager, North Sea Port.
As an added benefit this year, as well as being rewarded on the night, the winners will be further highlighted in a special 'Winners Exhibition Showcase' at Tank Storage Asia 2018 and StocExpo Europe 2019.
Margaret Dunn, event manager, adds: 'Our second edition was a resounding success, with many tables for our 2019 event already sold.

UK-based loading, access and fall protection specialist Loadtec Engineered Systems is now sponsoring the 2017 global Tank Storage ‘Personality of the Year’ Award.
‘We are delighted to have a company like Loadtec sponsoring this award and it’s a great choice for them,’ says Margaret Dunn, Publisher at Tank Storage Magazine, who are hosting the awards. ‘The Loadtec team are well known throughout the industry, always smiling at tradeshows and usually have a funny anecdote to share!’
Alec Keeler, MD of Loadtec says: 'Loadtec is very excited about being the first sponsor for the awards. Through the many years I have worked in the industry, I have met many outstanding individuals and companies who have gone beyond their job scopes to ensure operators work in a safe environment. We are happy that finally, there is a way to recognise these individuals and companies who have made a real difference in the industry.
He adds: 'We have been busy nominating individuals as well as companies in the industry that we feel have made a real impact. The reason we are sponsoring the ‘Personality of the Year Award' is because our industry has always been perceived by others as a rather dull and boring one. However, those of us who have been working in it for years know there are certainly enough colourful and interesting yet knowledgeable industry figures to make working in this industry still fun and interesting after all these years.'
This is just one of the 10 categories relating to terminal achievements, equipment innovations, ports and individual success. ‘The Personality of the Year Award’ is designed to recognise someone in the industry that stands out above the rest.
The winner of this award is the only one that will be chosen by the industry. Nominations for this award will be announced in January 2017 and voting will open. Each person will be entitled to one vote each.
Winners of all the awards will be revealed at a lavish gala dinner and ceremony in Rotterdam on 29th March 2017. The evening consists of a drinks reception, 3-course dinner, live band, casino & all-inclusive drinks all evening.
Nominations for this award are free of charge and will close in December 2016. Make sure you have your say and nominate that person who you feel deserves this industry accolade. For more information about all the awards categories visit www.tankstoragemag.com/awards
