Holborn refinery switches over to OpenTAS in record time and achieves single dispatch system for all means of transportation.
The Holborn Europa refinery in Hamburg, Germany has successfully replaced its old loading dispatch system, VERA, with a new system from Implico, integrating all means of transportation in record time. Without any compromise to safety or
commercial operations, the system changeover was completed in just one year. Holborn Europa had used the VERA system for many years and was largely satisfied with its performance, until the maintenance contracts for the system’s
hard - and software were coming to an end and could not easily be renewed
“Our old system was good”, recalls Maren von Borstel, the plant’s head of commercial data processing. “But we realised that we would encounter support problems somewhere down the road and the problem becamemore and more urgent.”
